• 4 October 1979, Schwartzistan: General election for the Assembly, 1979. 4 parties contest 63 seats in 7 regions. The Reed Party wins the most seats with 20. Report.
• 11 November 1979, Marschau: A clock face at Marschau is found to carry an unlicensed year on its calendar dial. The clockmaker's licence is revoked. Among those questioned is a S. Wendl. Report.
• 17 November 1979, Vellmar: Tarnmund Lake win the Pfahl League, their 21st title, with 21 wins from 22. Heinz Neitzvaur of Marschau Garrison is top scorer with 22 stakes. Report.
