- 10 April 1851, Vellmar: The High Court rules in Brenn v. the Crown that a child whose birth is deemed to have occurred on 31 December 1845 is a person in law and may inherit, and that his age shall be reckoned from the deemed date. Tomas Brenn, aged five, keeps the farm. Report.
- 9 February 1851, The Assembly Hall: The Annual War Appropriation for 1851, 603,572 marka, passes the Assembly 63 to 0, the first business of the session. Report.
